A KonKonGames game · Playtest build out now
Trade, fight and scrape a living on a frontier that runs on one dangerous crystal.
The game
Kiseki is a space trading roguelike RPG. Build a captain from one of six species, take a battered ship out to the frontier, and decide how you make your living: honest freight, bounty work, smuggling, or piracy.
The sector lives on Kiseki, a crystal that powers its ships, its weapons and its economy. The war that was fought over it has ended, more or less. Unmarked ships have started appearing on long-range scans, and nobody will say whose they are.
What you do out there
Prices react to what each world makes and needs, and to what you sell there. Run cargo, passengers and contraband between ports, and watch for customs.
Turn-based ship combat where weapon type matters. Break a target's shields, then destroy it, disable it, force a surrender or board it and take what's left.
Every people builds its own parts. Fill weapon, shield, reactor, armor, sensor, engine, fuel and cargo bays with new, worn, rusty or tuned modules.
Recruit pilots, gunners, engineers, doctors, marines and quartermasters at the bar. They level up, they expect wages, and they can die.
Every job you take changes your standing with the Terran government, the Jinko Republic, the Aerie Assembly, the Komodaki and the Free Ports.
An authored campaign runs alongside the open game: the end of a war, a rush for a new kind of crystal, and the ships nobody can identify.
